Juventus won its 21st Serie A title in 1984. La Vecchia Signora (The Old Lady) had done so by just two points over AS Roma. The club toured Australia in mid-June, bringing their Polish star Zbigniew Boniek along with homegrown 1982 FIFA World Cup heroes Antonio Cabrini, Marco Tardelli and Paolo Rossi. French playmaker, Michel Platini, did not travel.
In front of 36,128 fans in Melbourne, Australia drew 1-1 with the Italian champions. Juve would win 4-2 in Adelaide and lose 2-0 in Sydney in what was a whirlwind week of Italian football.
Australia was coached by Frank Arok. Arok's squad included the likes of Terry Greedy, Alan Davidson, Charlie Yankos, Joe Watson, David Mitchell, Frank Farina and John Kosmina.
I Bianconeri fans from Australia who followed Serie A, in arguably its peak, will want to grab one of these.
