Santos em Sydney 1972 T-shirt

Edson Arantes do Nascimento, the Brazilian known as Pelé, was the main attraction when Santos Futebol Clube travelled to Australia in 1972. Santos played one match against an Australian XI at the Sydney Showground on 17 June. The match ended 2-2.

Pelé said, "[Ray] Richards is the toughest player I have ever played against."
