Soccer Bloody Soccer T-shirt

For over 30 years, Les Murray brought the world game into our homes: Italian, Spanish, English, South American and more - with his enamoured pronunciations of players, coaches, teams and places. Alongside him was the Australian football legend, the visionary Johnny Warren. A member of the 1974 FIFA World Cup team, Australia's first to qualify for the Finals, Warren complemented Murray perfectly. Add moustachioed Greek-Australian journalist Andy Paschalidis and the trio was complete.

Murray, Warren and Paschalidis were akin to tenors and Sundays, our weekly opera. We will always remember the late Johnny Warren and Les Murray, not just for their contribution to football, but as great Australians.

The Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) used to be jokingly referred to as "Soccer Bloody Soccer" and even "Sex Before Sleep" for its devotion to the world game and foreign movies.
